Motion Ukiyo-e Exhibition TOKYO
動き出す浮世絵展 TOKYO
"Motion Ukiyo-e Exhibition TOKYO" is an exhibition where you can enjoy works by ukiyo-e masters through digital art. It takes place at Warehouse Terrada G1 Building in Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo. The exhibition clearly introduces the history unique to ukiyo-e and Edo culture. About 10 thematic areas are available, such as "Indigo" for the world of Japan Blue, "Beauty" depicting the delicate expressions of beautiful women, and "Brocade" where you can experience the large head portraits by Sharaku. There are also displays of actual ukiyo-e works. Notably, photos are allowed. You can capture moments showcasing the world of ukiyo-e using 3DCG animations and projection mapping. The fusion of digital art and traditional ukiyo-e allows visitors to lose track of time and indulge in a rich experience. We recommend taking the time to explore each area thoroughly and enjoy comparing digital art with actual ukiyo-e.
