Hoichi the Earless Festival

耳なし芳一まつり
This is a festival that commemorates the famous Heike legend "Hoichi the Earless" introduced in Lafcadio Hearn (Koizumi Yakumo)'s book "Kwaidan." The ceremony will be held in front of "Hoichi Hall" and the Heike clan's grave "Nana-morizuka" in the precincts of Akama Shrine, including a graveside ceremony (Shinto ritual) and biwa performance (planned). The festival will be held in the main hall of Akama Shrine, while the biwa performance will take place in the Ryugu Hall, and will require a fee (planned).
