Sakura Park & Omine Mountain Sakurahira Cherry Grove

At Sakura Park, 109 species and about 300 cherry trees have been planted across a vast area of approximately 5.2 hectares. The park features walking paths and pavilions, providing enjoyment for both cherry blossom viewing and strolling. Omine Mountain Sakurahira Cherry Grove, close to Sakura Park, is home to many grand cherry trees over 100 years old, designated as national natural monuments. The view from Ipponmatsu Observatory (a 20-minute walk from the Terasawa trailhead) is breathtaking (the route to the observatory is a light hiking trail). The best viewing period is until mid-May.
