The sakura avenue along Mitoya River stretches for nearly 2 km, with about 1,000 cherry trees planted. While Someiyoshino cherry trees are mainly planted, other varieties like Kanzan and Gyoiko are also featured, making it a unique cherry blossom avenue. Additionally, Mitoya Castle Site Park is cherished by residents as a rest area, overlooking the sakura avenue. During the festival, the area is illuminated at night, offering visitors the chance to enjoy the night cherry blossoms. Best viewing period: Late February to late April.
