The Joto Spring Festival is organized by the Joto District Physical Culture Promotion Council and marks its 50th edition this year. This year, there will be a performance by the Oita High School Calligraphy Club. The event will also feature a variety of activities including taiko drumming, performances by baton twirling and brass band clubs from Oita Tomei High School, karaoke, performances by brass bands from local middle schools (Joto, Harakawa), and children's kagura. At 3:30 PM, there will be rice cake and candy toss events at three locations within the venue. Additionally, there will be a tour of the Nippon Steel factory and a petting zoo.
