The Spring Grand Festival is held in relation to the invitation by the seventh Lord of Tsuwano Castle, Kamei Norisada, on May 15th of An'ei 2, to the Inari deity of Fushimi in Kyoto, at the northeastern peak of the Sanbommatsu Castle's omote kimon. Many worshippers view the Inari deity as a guardian for bountiful harvests, business success, and fulfillment of desires. Annually, Tonnocho and Honcho Streets become pedestrian zones, bustling with stalls and excitement.
