During the Kinomiya Shrine Annual Grand Festival 'Kogashi Matsuri' on July 15 & 16, the 'Dashi Competition' is held as part of the celebration. Conducted on National Route 135 with traffic control, it's the largest event in Atami. The highlights include traditional wood-carved floats, creatively decorated floats, and mikoshi from each neighborhood.
