The Fukaya Tanabata Festival traces its roots back to the "Star Festival" held during the Edo period when it was a lodging town. Held annually in July, it serves as a major festive event in Fukaya City, attracting many tourists each year. During the event, parts of the City Hall Street and Nakayama Road become pedestrian heavens, adorned with colorful ball decorations, bamboo leaves, and creative decorations, with many stalls lining both sides of the street.
