111th Mashiko Spring Pottery Fair

The "111th Mashiko Spring Pottery Fair" will be held at various locations in Mashiko Town, centered around Jonaisaka and Dosato areas, from April 29th (Tue, holiday) to May 6th (Tue, substitute holiday). [What is the Mashiko Pottery Fair] The pottery fair began in 1966, and is held annually during the spring Golden Week and around November 3rd in the fall. In addition to about 50 stores, approximately 600 tents are set up, selling everything from traditional Mashiko ware to everyday items like cups and plates, as well as artworks. You can enjoy direct conversations with emerging artists and craftsmen from the kilns in the tents. Besides pottery, local agricultural products and specialties are also sold, attracting about 600,000 visitors in both spring and fall.
