A summer tradition, the Genji fireflies of Koya River were designated in Showa 32 as a "Natural Monument at the Genji Firefly Habitats of Koya River and Otozure River," covering the Koya River and its tributaries, Toyoda Lake, and Nagato City's Otozure River. When the fireflies start dancing, there are exciting events on the West Stage and a dedicated children's area. The venue is filled with over 30 vendor stalls and street vendors. Enjoy illuminated performances at the Firefly Museum site, where stylish food trucks line up.
