Roppongi Crossing 2025
六本木クロッシング2025展
The "Roppongi Crossing" is a series of exhibitions held every three years by the Mori Art Museum, serving as a benchmark survey of the Japanese art scene since 2004. It is jointly planned by curators of the Mori Art Museum and several guest curators, who select Japanese artists through the intersection of multiple perspectives. The exhibition features not only seasoned artists with brilliant international achievements but also fresh and emerging young talents expected to shine in the future. Furthermore, it extends beyond contemporary art to introduce creators from other genres such as architecture, fashion, and design, which is a hallmark of this series aimed at being a "crossing point" of creative activities.<\p>
As the eighth installment of the series, this exhibition collaborates with curators active globally, based in Asia, to capture Japanese art from an international perspective. In a modern era where multiculturalism progresses but also faces various frictions and divisions, artists' activities are influenced, evolving, and generating new forms of expression. This exhibition revisits the current state of Japanese art and examines its significance within a larger context.
